A Day in the Life of Betty Hydris
Sea air drifted in from the half-opened window, wrinkling Betty’s nose. She shut the window before turning around. Breakfast would finish soon, and she didn’t want it to be cold when everyone sat down to eat. Even though they were a handful, Betty’s family meant the world to her. She had three children, along with her husband, Caspian. He was trying to convince them to come eat and Betty let out a soft chuckle. Her children weren’t the easiest to deal with, but Betty believed no child was. Her husband came with his own set of hardships; he used to live in the ocean, among other merfolk.
